Nothing you do in the editor is final. There are two safety nets, and this lesson shows both.
Undo and redo
- ⌘Z (Ctrl+Z on Windows) takes the last change back — a drawn shape, a moved one, a typed altitude, a deleted object.
- ⇧⌘Z puts it back again.
- The two arrows in the top bar do the same and grey out when there is nothing left to undo.
Undo is per session: it runs back through everything since you opened the model.
Version history
Lan3D also saves the whole model as you work — a new version at most once a minute, whenever something changed.
- Click Version history at the bottom of the sidebar.
- Each version shows when it was saved and how many shapes it had. The top one is Latest.
- Click a version to view it, and Restore to make it the current state. Restoring is itself a change, so the version you were on stays in the list.
This is how you get back a plan you changed yesterday and regret today, or recover from a Clear plan you did not mean.
Clearing the plan
Clear plan, in the same footer, removes every shape in the model. It asks first, and version history still holds everything from before — so it is safe to start a layout again without making a new model.
